«Didn't we almost have it all?»
The shock...the numb....
George didn't pass his test? And he asked Izzy to meet him at the church the same day he told Callie they could try to start a family?
There are *SO* many powerful moments in this episode. Burke's beautiful voice calmly stating all of the reasons he wanted to marry Kristina. Of course, Richard and Adele mourning their lost chance. Addison telling Karev to not pass up opportunities, and him missing it anyhow. The tearing clawing desperation of Kristina as she realizes that Burke is gone... The moment for me that tugged *ALL* the right places was that of George sitting with Bailey, the two of them unsure of what to do, whether to stride forward and fight for it, or to toss in the towel. The emotion in Bailey's voice when she asks the universal question, «Did I let you down?» And George's equally powerful reply, «No, it was I who didn't live up to your expectations.»
Doesn't that moment just leave you in tears?
Mer-Der seems defunct. Burketina seems to be broken. There is no new chief, and Bailey isn't moving up the way she had hoped. Ending with so many heartaches and pains, you may be tempted to swallow a series of Judy Doll heads. But don't despair. The writer's blog says that no matter what happens in Season three ending, Season four is back to the fun. We must try to just...Find our Bright and Shiny spot for summer, and not hope or wish, but be sure....Grey's Anatomy will be back.
